Episode 60 of the project me podcast. Hi there. I hope you're happy and well, today's mini episode is recorded amongst the holiday season. And if you're hearing this at a different time of the year, you can apply this to your life at any time. It is about how to protect your energy from other people's energies.
It's all too easy to become a sponge soaking up energies that do not belong to you. And if you imagine yourself as a sponge, if you're absolutely soaked with dirty water from multiple filthy surfaces, you're going to feel very heavy and sluggish, right? So it's time to squeeze out the excess, give yourself a good cleanse and feel light again.
The first thing to understand is that everything is energy. Everything is made up of vibrating particles of energy, including you. Because your energy field is continuously connected to everything and everyone, the low vibrations of other people's energies can bring you down too, without you even being consciously aware of it.
Now, this isn't about blaming anyone else for dragging you down. We must always take personal responsibility for our own energy. Practice gentle compassion for how others are feeling, but do your very best not to get sucked in. If you know you're about to spend time with someone who's prone to complaining or gossiping or is just generally not in a good place emotionally.
Prepare yourself. Go in with the intention that you will not be an energetic sponge. Intentions are so powerful and they need to be reaffirmed. So if you're spending a period of time with someone whose energies you do not wish to become entangled with, You'll need to reaffirm your intentions daily, or if you're spending a lot of time with that person in a day, you may need to go in the other room and reaffirm your intentions again over and over again throughout the day.
I like to turn these into powerful I am affirmations. I am in a high frequency. I am protected. I am loved. Love. Love is a very high frequency. So rather than seeing the other person as a negative drain, be in the vibration of love. Do and say all things with love in your heart, and you'll be automatically protected.
Now, I know this is not always easy. Boy, do I know it. It is not always easy to love others. We get triggered, sometimes old wounds get opened, and it's hard to do this with just sheer willpower and intentions alone. And this is where I bring in my secret potion. There is a botch flower remedy I absolutely love called walnut.
If you don't yet know about botch flower remedies, do look them up. It's spelled B A C H. batch flower remedies. There are 38 different remedies and there are for all different kinds of emotional support for all different things. But one of those 38 remedies is called walnut. And you can order it on Amazon.
You can find these remedies. They're all over the world. They're at health food stores. They're at pharmacies. I studied them at the botch Institute in London many years ago. And I absolutely swear by them. Did a podcast episode about them way back towards the beginning of the show. If you want to scroll back.
I shared some stories about how it's been proven to me over and over again that these flower remedies are not just a placebo effect. So the one I use specifically for protection from outside influences and other people's energies is called Walnut. Now, I used to think of using Walnut as only for dealing with major changes.
That's what it's kind of thought of as protecting yourself from change. So such things that like when we brought a new baby into the house, um, when the kids were starting a new school, when we were moving house or anyone was changing jobs, it works amazingly well for all that kind of change stuff. But over the years I've come to realize how powerful it is for vibe protection in general.
Take a few drops in water, sip it at intervals, or you can even put it directly on the tongue for immediate assistance. If you're spending some time around people in a lower vibration and you want that protection. Next, I'm going to share another vibe protecting strategy. I call it the invisible protective shield, and this may sound a bit nutty, but don't knock it till you've tried it.
Imagine you are guarded by an imaginary shield of positive light and love. Okay. Nothing can penetrate. You are well protected behind this shield and all negative vibes will just bounce off. So if someone says something triggering, imagine their words as being like little arrows that are coming at you, except with your invisible shield activated, those arrows simply ping off.
And they don't reach you. I love that one. I use it a lot. Um, there are also meditations in the free insight timer meditation app. You hear me going on about this app all the time. It's called insight timer. And they will guide you towards imagining yourself inside of a. Protective shield or inside of a protective bubble of some sort.
There's many to choose from. If you're in the app, just go into the search feature, type in protect protection or energetic protection. You'll find plenty of helpful meditations to do before you're about to spend time with others. If you have succumbed to low vibes, I've got another strategy for you. EFT tapping.
It's called emotional freedom technique. I have done several episodes on tapping. Again, scroll back. You'll find an interview and a guided session with Brian Yates. He's considered to be the tapping wizard. So if you already know how to tap, remember that you already have this tool literally at your fingertips.
We can sometimes forget that. So I'm here to remind you, just tap on how you're feeling and then do another round of tapping on just protecting your energies. Just give yourself that added, those added words of protection. There is a free app, another free app I love it's called the tapping solution.
Download it, park it onto the home screen of your phone. That's a really good way of you just seeing it and going, ah, yes, I can be tapping right now. It's going to guide you through the tapping points. And in a few short minutes, you'll be brought down to an emotional calm that will enable you to reconnect to your intention again and stay in your own energy.
The more aware you become of your own personal vibes, The more you'll really begin to notice the vibes of others. So it's important, don't judge anyone's vibes as bad. Try to stay neutral. Be in the mindset of being responsible for your own vibes. The more consistently you are in a higher vibrational frequency, the more you will either naturally repel low vibrations or even positively affect them with your own.
This is not meant to be done as a deliberate act by trying to control anyone else, just understand that you create your reality and every other person out there is creating their reality. Everyone has an opportunity to wake up at any time when they're ready. If not seriously consider the high vibe journey. When we live in a higher vibration, our lives are uplifted and that affects other people's lives. And the ripple effect of this spreads far and wide. Do what you can to make the world a better place by taking responsibility for your own energy.
Dear listener, relax your forehead. Take a long, slow, deep breath in and let it out with a sigh.
How are you at protecting your energy? If you imagine yourself as a sponge right now, how soaked are you? Are you dry and clean? Are you a little damp? Or are you dripping wet? Imagine that you are being gently and lovingly squeezed right now, like a hug from the universe. And this hug is releasing all energies that do not belong to you.
All of those unhelpful, unhealthy energies are now draining out of you. They are draining and evaporating into the ether.
Draining, draining, draining, and evaporating.
Begin to feel a sense of lightness. Hmm, so light, so free.
And now set your heartfelt intention. You can even place your hands over your heart if you're able to. And repeat out loud or in your head. I am in a high frequency.
I am protected.
I am love. Breathe that in and feel yourself filling up with bright, light, beautiful, loving energy. And now breathe that out into the world.
