Episode zero of the project me podcast. Hi, I'm Kelly Pietrangeli. You might know me already as the queen of practical lifestyle management over at my project me. com or as the mama motivator in my book, project me for busy mothers. But the truth is, I've been hiding a big part of who I am. For ages I've thought that maybe if I start talking about more esoteric stuff, you're going to go running for the hills and I'll feel like a complete freak.

But I am finally ready to publicly step out of the woo woo closet. I took a big leap earlier this year and I launched a four week program called the High Vibe Journey. Teaching women to understand themselves as energy and how to tap into their intuition and I had no idea if anyone would join since it was so far removed from what I normally teach, but it sold out.

And it sold out again for the next three rounds too. So suddenly it feels wrong to not be sharing this stuff with my whole community. Like, what have I been waiting so long for? I've been unleashed. Look out. This podcast, I feel like it's going to give me a fresh new platform to break free from all the writing.

I'm, I'm always been writing, hiding behind my keyboard and I've been writing about time management strategies and parenting tips and all of this purely practical advice for nearly seven years now. It's all still there on my website and it's in my book for everyone who needs to build a firm foundation beneath them.

And I absolutely stand by the Project Me framework for getting your life into a happier balance. But I've discovered that life isn't just something to be managed. It isn't like once you get a handle on your to do list and manage your time better, suddenly your whole life is going to become amazing.

That's only the first step. It'll clear space for sure. It'll clear head space and heart space and give you more time. And it's then what you do with that space and that extra time that's going to create the transformation. My intention with this podcast is to inspire you to explore both your outer and inner worlds as you create your own Project Me.

In each episode, I'm going to share a story of how I've overcome some pretty big challenges in my life. I'm aiming to go in a chronological order to document the unfolding of how one thing's led to another, but I may become eager to jump into something more recent because I'm continuing to have such incredible experiences that I'm just so excited to share.

Over the years, I've dabbled in a lot of woo woo modalities, everything from emotional acupuncture, EFT tapping, emotion code, to EAM, which is the energy alignment method. What else? Hypnobirthing, yoga, flower remedies, essential oils, transformational breathwork, human design, shamanic journey, and clairvoyance.

Am I freaking you out at this point or are you still with me? Not all of this stuff has been amazing for me, and I'm going to be really honest with you about what has been life changing for me and what hasn't. We're all different and we're all going to respond in our own unique ways to these things.

Peace. I'm also going to include books that have been life changing for me for sure. And more than anything, I want my experiences and stories to help you to reflect on your own life and the challenges you've overcome, and to look for the deeper lessons all of our challenges contain. I'd love to inspire you to release things from the past or gain a fresh perspective or view your life through a new lens.

Just to help put timings into perspective, I'm turning 54 in the summer of 2020. So when I refer to experiences in my late twenties to early thirties, we're talking about the 1990s. And when I refer to my kids, those boys are nearly 20 and 18 now, I'm going to end this intro episode with a quick story.

The story of how this podcast nearly came to be called woo woo is wonderful. In the 11th hour, I've decided to simplify the title so I don't alienate my existing audience. And even when I submit this podcast, I might find the names already taken. Maybe it will be called Woo Woo is Wonderful. I'm not even sure yet at the time of recording.

Let's see. So it was the summer of 2019 and I was sitting in the sunshine having lunch with my friend, Jackie, who also happens to be my emotion code coach. She will definitely come up in a future episode. And I remember I said the words woo woo when I was referring to something esoteric. And she called me out on it and asked me if I didn't think calling all this stuff woo woo was diminishing it, making it all feel like nonsense and even potentially derogatory to those who work in these fields like she does.

And I told her, Jackie, I love woo woo and I use it as an affectionate term to mean all things wild and wonderful beyond the physical world. But I listened to her and I thought, you know what, I am going to give myself a 30 day ban on saying woo woo just to challenge myself to find different words instead.

And then listen to what happened the very next morning. I draw a card from a pack of Oracle cards I've got called Trust Your Vibes by Sonia Choquette. I take these cards and I fan them out on my bed, you know, I've shuffled them, I've mixed them up and I do what I oftentimes do, which is just close my eyes and say, what message do I most need to receive today?

And I closed my eyes and I reached for a card and I pulled out the card and it said, Woo Woo. is wonderful. I had to laugh. There are 52 cards in that deck and I'd never drawn that one before. And the day that I've given myself the start of my 30 day woo ban, I get the card that says, woo is wonderful. But I stuck to my guns and man, was it hard for me not to say woo for 30 days.

But when the 30 days was up, I decided that that card was a message for me. I would write a book or start a podcast called Woo Woo is Wonderful. Because it is, and I don't say it to be dismissive. I say it to be fun and magical and inviting, because that's what woo woo means to me. I now see myself as being a bridge between practical life management and your inner world, discovering who you are and what holds you back.

What lifts you higher and who you came to be here in this lifetime. Together, we can explore all of the other dimensions that magically begin to open up when you're open minded, open hearted, and curious. I hope this podcast sparks your curiosity and opens up whole new worlds for you. We all need some space in our heart for the magical and unknown.

In episode one, I'm going to share a pretty far out story about how I was led to read my very first woo woo book. And we'll explore the question, is anything in life ever just a coincidence? Until next time, open your mind, open your heart, and stay curious. Project Me is a global movement, helping women to step out of autopilot and into higher levels of conscious living.

The Project Me Life Wheel tool comes with helpful prompts to give you an objective overview of your eight key life areas so you can see what needs your focus first.
